I always strive to cook highly nutritious food for my loving family without disappointing the taste buds π.It is incredibly nutritious,power packed recipe with a burst of flavours and pleasing aroma. This recipe includes the goodness of #carrots #spinach #dillleaves #mutton and some secret spices which I have disclosed below π
Ingredients:
Mutton: 1 kg
Spinach: 500 gms
Dill leaves: 5 medium bunch
Carrot: 3 medium size ( approx. 500 gms)
Garlic cloves: 7-8
Onion: half medium size
Ginger: 1 inch piece ( finely chopped)
Green chili: 5 ( chopped roughly )
Red chili powder: 2 tsp ( you can add more or less as per your taste)
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
Cooking oil: 5 tbsps
Salt: as per your taste
Method:
- Add below ingredients to the pressure cooker and cook until 4 whistles or meat is tender mutton,garlic,onion,ginger,carrot,green chili,red chili,coriander powder,cumin powder,salt,cooking oil,1 glass water
- After 4 whistles open the pressure cooker and cook on high flame stirring occasionally for further 6-8 min.
- Now add finely chopped dill leaves,finely chopped spinach and cook for 5-6 min.( spinach and dill leaves should not change colour ( donβt overcook) ). 4. Prepare tadka by frying 1/4 part of onion in 3 tbsps mustard oil also add a generous pinch of hing. When sliced onions turn their sides to light brown colour add this to the pressure cooker, mix well and cook until 1st boil.
- Serve this #tasty #nutritious gajargosht with steamed rice or phulka.
Notes: it tastes heavenly with a dollop of pure ghee. ππ
