Long time back I read a great quote by Honourable Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
“Dream is not what you see in sleep, Dream is something which doesn’t let you sleep”.
At that time I appreciated it and decided to go on reading the book by him “Wings of Fire”.But I could not absorb the true essence of this quote, may be I didn’t have some big dreams that time or I was too busy enjoying my sweet 16 lol.
Fast forward to few years and here I am today recalling and realising the meaning of that quotation in real time. Yes, I have big dreams and at the same time have a super busy lifestyle with 2 little men around me who are totally dependent upon me and single handedly managing my household chores. And after a long tiring day spent in household chores, caring for my family, cooking etc. here I am not able to sleep and pouring my heart out at 2:30 a.m. while everybody is sleeping, my dreams are just not letting me sleep.
My heart is on fire, I work 24×7 to fulfil my dreams. Now I totally understand the quote word by word. I agree to it, doesn’t matter how tired you are; when you dream something you always have time for that, you work for that tirelessly and sleep doesn’t even bother you.
So next time you use the word Dream for yourself, remember they are after your sleep ( just kidding ). But yes, it gives immense pleasure and satisfaction when you work towards achieving your dreams. It gives you power to overcome every hurdle, it gives you confidence that makes your face shine even after a sleepless night and you wake up just as fresh as a dew-drop ❤️.
Work for your dreams if you really have some. Doesn’t matter how much hard work they demand, it will pay off sooner than you think.Just don’t give up ever, keep trying, keep growing even if it’s on a very slow pace. You will reach there, you will reach there.
Dream is necessary to feel alive, to be happy. Dream gives us purpose of living and keeps us going forward in life. You become a better version of yourself everyday by working towards it.
Keep dreaming and working for it ❤️
